I would like to thank those at Annual Meeting who supported my nomination and voted me into the position of Support Staff Representative on the National Executive. Comment by Jane Huggins on September 13, 2011 at 4:36pm: Congratulations, Vicki. I know you will do a great job. I have been reading the comments about the pay offer. Similar remarks were made at our PUMs in Malvern. If people are not happy, then they need to show this but voting against the settlement and being prepared to take some action.

Feelings are running high in the electorate and with the latest attempt to appease us with a paltry pay rise things are not going to get any better. You may well find that you and any other representative on the executive from the support staff will be feeling the draft as the door closes on many of the members who are not happy with the way things are going. There has been little or no leadership from the team and we are left here wondering what is going to happen next to make our lives more miserable. The PUM's were ages away and we got little information on where the leadership were taking us. Expect a huge backlash about this and as I said earlier expect the walk to te door turn into a rush.
