Supporting Success in Education

On a fresh sunny Friday morning 7 NZEI Members from across all sectors had a meeting with Michael Woodhouse Dunedin South MP in his very warm office. (1 HOUR) The meeting went very well, he listend to us all as we talked of our feelings on the so called NATIONAL STANDARDS. Stories were told and examples of how students are coping now at our schools. I had the chance to have my say as far as the impac on SUPPORT STAFF within our schools and the effect NATIONAL STANDARDS will have on us all. I then gave Michael the Actions and Scripts that were presented by the Support Staff at the NATIONAL STANDARDS Hui in Wellington on Saturday along with a Packet on Sensation ORANGE Chocolate Biscuits to enjoy while digesting our concerns.
