Support Staff Negotiation Update
The Negotiation Team met with the Ministry last Friday . The Ministry contacted us and requested we meet Friday (you will recall we had 9th December as the next meeting) so that was a definite surprise! The action that we have all done on the 27th and 28th November definitely had an effect and there is a changed attitude from the Ministry and STA. They are now trying to be constructive and seem to be looking for a settlement.
Friday was constructive and I along with the team I think we made progress, but we still have away to go.
We are meeting again on Wednesday 9 December. In the meantime keep up the pressure.
